The Chestnut Appeal swimming events have become somewhat legendary across the South-West of England. Whether that’s the Burgh Island swim or the Plymouth Breakwater swim, these events are some of the most eagerly anticipated dates in the diary.
Hundreds take part every year and it’s a huge amount of effort from everyone involved including the Harbourmasters office, support teams and event admin, not to mention the swimmers themselves.
