The Chestnut Appeal has been supporting the fight against men’s Cancer for well over 25 years now. So, whether that’s Prostate, Penile or Testicular Cancer, we’ve been there, supporting men as they embark on what can be an incredibly difficult journey.
It’s our aim to increase awareness about men’s Cancer, to support those that are on the journey and to raise funds so we can continue the good work we do.
For that to happen, we need you, because we can’t raise the sort of money we need without a bit of extra help. So, whether you’re volunteering, being sponsored or taking part in one of our organised events, we appreciate you and the effort you put in.
Men across the South-West need to know that the word Cancer doesn’t have to mean the end, or even the start of the end. These male specific Cancers can be treated effectively but the chances of success dramatically improve when the issues are detected early and treatment starts quickly. As a result, awareness and communication are central to our mission here at the Chestnut Appeal.
As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day, but equally it wasn’t built by the emperor alone. Only by working together as a team ‘can we’ and ‘will we’ beat Cancer.
